The Telugu states theatrical rights were sold for 165 Cr (including GST). The breakeven gross in the Telugu states is estimated to be around 265 Cr.
The overseas rights were sold for 40 Cr, with a breakeven gross of approximately 85 Cr.
The ROI (Non Telugu States) value is estimated to be at least 55 Cr, as Peddi is a pan-India release across Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. The film needs to gross at least 140 Cr from the ROI markets.
This takes the total worldwide breakeven gross across all languages to around 490 Cr. Overall, the film needs to deliver a 500 Cr worldwide gross to emerge as a pan-India success.
Only a few Telugu films have crossed the 500 Cr gross mark worldwide. Peddi must aim to join this elite club.
